Seeds of Hope Stories

Stories can shape people; they can inspire them to think and act differently.
Over the coming months, we will release some stories of our own. 
We would like to introduce you to our Vanderful Volunteers, who are the Seeds of Hope ODV team.

In which year did you join Seeds of Hope & what’s your country of origin? 
I am from Zambia and I joined Seeds of Hope in June 2022.
What is your role at Seeds of Hope ODV? 
I am the documentation Assistant, I write blog posts and help with Seeds of Hope’s storytelling.
What do you like most about your role?
I feel like I am building up a skill. I have also a chance to support a good cause.
What inspired you to volunteer? 
Because I believe that life is a cycle of giving and getting back. I am a beneficiary of volunteering and so I have the heart to give back.

What is your greatest strength? How does it help you at Seeds of Hope?
I appreciate and value the effort of others and so I make it a habit to at least fulfil a task.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a volunteer? 
Go for it because it will help you discover things about yourself that you never knew. It will allow you to see people in a different way.

Icebreaker Questions

If you could be any animal in the world, what animal would you choose to be? 

A leopard – it has beautiful print and can climb trees.

Would you rather live in the ocean or on the moon? 

On the moon.

What is your best idea for a new invention?

A heater umbrella for winter and a cooler umbrella for the heat!

Are you sunrise, daylight, twilight, or night time person? Why?
Morning because I love sunlight, it changes my mood. Mornings signify new beginnings for me.
