Seeds of Hope Stories

Stories can shape people; they can inspire them to think and act differently.
Over the coming months, we will release some stories of our own.
We would like to introduce you to our Vanderful Volunteers, who are the Seeds of Hope ODV team.

In which year did you join Seeds of Hope & what’s your country of origin?

In 2022 and I am from Switzerland but I live in Mozambique.

What is your role at Seeds of Hope ODV?

I’m living in Mozambique, so I can help with what is needed here. I also designed the clothes line with the sponsored t-shirts from G-white Italy, so Vanderful have product to offer in exchange for donations in Europe.

What do you like most about your role?

To be connected with Vanderful and all of the network of Vanderful in Mozambique. I like to be able to work with the local community and hopefully do something useful for Mozambique.

What inspired you to volunteer?

Vikki and Frankie, the Vanderful project and their positive and open hearts. 🙂

What is your greatest strength? How does it help you at Seeds of Hope? I’m a ‘doer’ and a good organizer!

What are some of your best memories at Seeds of Hope? The time that I shared with Vikki and Julie in Mozambique in 2022.

How do you stay motivated on the not-so-sunny days?

I keep myself busy, and I know that soon another a new beautiful day is coming!

What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a volunteer?

Take it seriously and give it your best because volunteering can open up new doors for you.
